Chocolate Cigars:  The indescribable joy of a new baby to mothers and fathers is certainly a cause of celebration. For the father the traditional way of expressing his joy was to pass out cigars. While some traditions have faded Morkes Chocolates takes a novel approach to the baby cigar. For a man, ‘It’s A Girl’ or ‘It’s A Boy’ chocolate cigars bring back the fun of passing out the symbolic cigar in celebration of your new bundle of joy. The Challenge:  My goal was to replace the existing ‘It’s A Girl’ and ‘It’s A Boy’ cigar band labels with a more exciting cigar label and make it more recognizable as a true cigar band while incorporating the Morkes company brand. It made sense to use traditional cigar band styling and the Morkes font to accomplish this. The cigar box label also continues on the new design theme to complete the package.
