Company:  Morkes Chocolates

The Morkes Candy Camp:  At Morkes Chocolates it’s all about candy fun for kids as well as adults. The Morkes Candy Camp is definitely on the To-Do List for kid fun stuff if you live near a Morkes Chocolates store. And when someone attends a Morkes candy camp you’re probably going to see them again for more candy fun in the future. I know this for sure because I’ve photographed some of these kids time and again. A Morkes Candy Camp is a themed candy making session and some of them are quite popular. High on the list is Disney’s FROZEN, where campers make the cheerful snowman Olaf with marshmallows, mold chocolate snowflakes, make truffle centered snowballs and make a ‘Magic’ shell ice cream topping over ice cream. And doing all this while singing ‘Let It Go!’. In the Jelly Belly and Gummi Mosaic Art Candy Camp, campers can really show their artistic talents. Using multi-color Jelly Belly jelly beans, Gummies and chocolate, campers create mosaic art pieces. The results are truly beautiful candy works of art. Another popular candy camp is Minecraft which is based on the most popular video game in history. This candy camp fills up fast because kids love Minecraft and kids love candy. It’s incredible how creative kids can be. When I photographed this candy camp It was actually a challenge to get them to look at my camera for a picture because they were intensely concentrating on making their Minecraft candy creations. Capturing their intensity was actually more fun. They were literally playing Minecraft with candy and the results were fascinating. There are also candy camps for just about every holiday from Valentine’s Day, Easter and The 4th of July to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Winter Holiday.

The Morkes Walk In Day:  If you can’t reserve your spot in a Candy Camp you can always attend a Morkes Walk In Day. Walk In Days are similar to Candy Camps however no reservations are needed. Just walk into the store when a Walk In Day is offered and have your own personal candy making experience. Walk In Days are also themed and can even be educational. One example is the Earth Day – Walk In Day, It’s about saving the planet through a candy-making experience! Even being eco-friendly can be expressed with candy.
